People ask me this all the time and I will not give you the salesy answer because most of the time it is not the right call. Sometimes it is.
Ceramic coating is not magic. It is a polymer that chemically bonds to your clear coat. Once it cures, water beads off, contaminants do not stick the same way, UV does less damage. It does not stop rock chips. It does not replace insurance. It does not let you skip washing your car. What it does is buy you two to five years of significantly easier maintenance and noticeably better-looking paint.
Whether that is worth it depends on a few real things.
The first is how long you are keeping the car. If you are flipping it within a year, save the $750 and get a wax. You will not see the long-tail benefit and you are not going to recoup it on resale. If you are keeping the car five years, the math gets a lot better. You are paying once for years of protection that would otherwise be a never-ending cycle of waxing.
The second is where the car parks. If you have a garage and you are mostly driving on weekends, ceramic is overkill. The paint is not seeing enough abuse to justify it. If your car sits outside year-round in Surrey or Langley or anywhere on the south coast, the protection actually does something.
The third is whether you care. This sounds dumb but it matters. If you notice swirl marks. If water spots from rain bother you. If you have ever walked back to your car in a parking lot and felt that little tug of disappointment that the paint does not look as good as it used to. Ceramic fixes most of that. If you genuinely do not care how the car looks, no coating in the world is going to make you happy.
One thing I will not do is coat a car that needs paint correction first. If your hood has heavy oxidation or your panels are full of swirls, we have to polish that out before any coating goes on, otherwise we are locking the damage in. That is its own conversation and the price changes accordingly.
The pricing on our Showroom package starts at $750 for a sedan, $850 for an SUV, $950 for a truck. Final number depends on condition and we always do a free walkaround before we quote.
If you are on the fence, here is the thing that tips most people. Maintenance washes after a coating are dramatically easier. Bird droppings and bug splatter that used to require scrubbing just rinse off. That alone is what people end up loving most about it.
